So yesterday was absolutely amazing! Had coffee and a great visit with 3 of the most monumental women in my life. My maid of honor and best friend ever, one of my bridesmaids (who was asked, accepted and appointed within the first 20 minutes of seeing her!) and one of the best girls I have ever met have known the longest out of all of them. I know it sounds really mean that I didn't ask her t o be in my wedding party, but everyone has to understand that I only have so much room in my wedding party and honestly, we are not as close as I wish we could be. A lot of it has to do with geographical differences throughout our lives, but it also has a lot to do with the fact that she still lives in our hometown and also still has the mentality of it and I don't need that drama in my wedding party either. ( Truth hurts, but its what it is. The truth!)
There is a lot of history between myself and the two women I have chosen, and no matter how far apart we are or how little we talk, we pick up a conversation like we talked yesterday. Example, yesterday was the first time in about 10 years we were all sitting in the same room, it was like we were together last week having coffee and talking about how everything turned out in our lives. It was great and I am so excited about the fact that we will get to spend more time together over the next year and some.
Any way, yesterday was amazing! I am not too sure how else to describe it other than that. The other cool thing is I got pictures of my friend's daughters playing, can't wait to get those pictures edited and sent out. ( one of my major hobbies is photo editing... gonna make choosing a photographer fun for the wedding. I will try and behave.)
Other than that I have looked at a few more magazines and websites, got a picture of flowers I saw in a store today ( I know, not cool but its a small town and they really don't care)
So hopefully tomorrow afternoon before I go to visit with my dad and stepmother I will get some stuff done and looked at, but who knows.
I am really missing my Fiance... not too much long til he is back here and we can be together and enjoy some engagement bliss. A few more days.
Tomorrow is another day and I got nothing else really to tell, so I guess til the next time,
Keep it real,

Day 3... Getting a little more serious
So... Today was a good day! I went to my maid of honor's for coffee and we marked some pages that had styles I liked for wedding dresses. Just in case the dress style I found yesterday no longer exists. Also, this is not a fairy tale and the shoe and dress never fits right on the first try and it sure don't always look like a million bucks! I know my Fiance will look like a million, he always does... and I wanna look as perfect as I can. We are not a fairytale kind of couple... we like to have fun. Example, the proposal. Totally awesome and a total blast! I am not a city girl who is into the whole " ring in the champagne glass" stunt. Don't get me wrong, we will have a classy wedding and I like a glass of champagne every now and again for sure, I just think his proposal was totally awesome because I had no clue what was going on around me considering he had everyone in on it and it was organized right down to getting it on film!
But honestly I don't think you will see me in any of these "Mermaid" dresses or a strapless. Spaghetti straps or something maybe, well hell who even knows, I might make a fibber out of myself... who knows. I just have to try on a ton of dresses and see what I like and what everyone says looks good... and honestly say it looks good! I just don't think I will go for plain white, I love color and I want something that not everyone had at their wedding. My style of clothing is far from " normal". Always has been that way. So this ought to be interesting.
One thing my mother and I did today was make a rough guest list so we have an idea as to how many guest I am looking at... about 200. Cool beans... now I just gotta try and find a venue and we have to figure out a date. Peanuts... *wink* I really can't wait til my Fiance is back on days off and we can actually talk more and bounce ideas off each other. We also made plans to do a lot of walking around the city we live in, since we are thinking that is where it will be... and I would like an outdoor wedding. Now whether it will be oceanfront, or a garden wedding, or even in a church... yet to be decided. Should be good and I will totally burn some calories. But should get some sleep, since tomorrow is another day of planning and visiting.

Day 2, finding ideas for a wedding in a small town
I am not too sure how this week is going to go to be honest. I am in my home town while the Fiance' is back at work, visiting family, friends, and of course trying to figure out what I would like for my wedding day. My best friend in the whole world is my maid of honor and god love her! She is the level head I need and cherish in my time of confusion, anger at the fact that I can't work google the way I want to and she never laughs at me or looks at me any different for the fact that I want my bridesmaids and her in a dress of higher quality than sears. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with sears, and if they can find a dress from there that they love and they want... they can get the darn dress it's just that I was thinking that they would like something a little better quality. ( This stems from a conversation my mother and I had earlier in the evening that I did find a little frustrating just because I didn't know how to express my thought of the idea I had in my mind when trying to explain what style I was thinking of, but its over now and I want to leave it at that.)
But I am as sure as ever after tonight that my choice in a maid of honor was for the best and I know that she will do everything in her power to make this as stress free for me as she can. Which is a really good thing because I need someone who will do stuff like that because I can be a very scatter brained and very easily confused at times. Not saying I am an air head, I just have a bad habit of starting something and then taking a break and starting something else.
But now to what I did do today, I looked at 50,000 different dress designs in magazines and online... found a dress I really like and that I have liked for a very long time. My mom is starting to jump the gun a little and say that I have found " The dress" whereas in reality I haven't found a darn thing. I found a picture and know who designs it. I don't know if it is in the store that I found it on their website... or if the designer makes it anymore for that matter. So I went of the the maid of honor's place tonight and we looked through the most current copy of "The knot" and we thought about a few more ideas of dresses for me and the girls. I have come to the conclusion in my mind now that the girls can buy whatever style of dress they want, as long as it is the color I choose. I want them to love the dress they wear and I haven't really talked to my fiance yet, but I am thinking the girls are gonna get their own dresses. So it's not fair at all to dictate what they wear and then tell them they have to foot the bill for said dress as well. Like I said though, haven't talked to him though and that might change as well... see how things go. But for now I am rambling and my brain is mush. So I am gonna go to bed and prep for a morning with my M.O.H, a pot of coffee and another imminent fight with google chrome. I'll keep ya posted.

Day 1 of blogging!
Hi there everyone!
I first want to thank you for your interest in my blog. For some reason I think this might be a good idea to write and get some random frustrations out if they should arise ( we all know they will arise!) Also to keep everyone up to speed on my planning of mine and my fiance's wedding! I am so excited and just know this will truly be the happiest day of my life!
A little background now, My fiance and I have been dating / living together for 5 years now. We were friends for quite a long time before we got together and we truly are best of friends as well as lovers. He totally took me by suprise this last weekend and proposed on the bow of a jet boat when we stopped for lunch on a river boating trip with his family and a bunch of close family friends. I have to admit it totally came as a major surprise to me! I was starting to wonder if we would ever get engaged, but I do have to admit it didn't really matter to me as long as we were still together. Since the most important thing to me is being with him, he is truly the love of my life.
In this blog I would like to share our experiences with setting the date, finding a venue and all the other fun filled and slightly stressful things that come with tying the knot. This might prove to be a form of therapy to me and help me get other ideas as well while I clear my head writing and thinking about what i want to write. Hope you enjoy the read and if you have any suggestions on any of the things you read, please feel free to leave a comment! Thanks again! Happy reading!
